Joseph G. McNally
Pastor Joseph McNally has been ministering at Faith Bible Church since the church was started in 1984. Pastor McNally and his wife were missionaries with the American Mission for Opening Churches until Faith Bible Church became self- supporting. Pastor McNally resigned from the mission to pastor at Faith Bible Church.
The McNallys have six children who have grown up in our church and seven grandchildren, some of whom are a part of the church today.
Pastor McNally graduated from Citadel Bible College in Ozark, Arkansas, with a degree in Bible and Pastoral Studies. He has also graduated from Baptist Bible Seminary with a Master of Ministry degree.
Pastor McNally says that the thing he likes most about Faith Bible Church is the close family atmosphere and the way that people demonstrate their love one to another!
Gary and his wife Patricia, (Pat) were married in July of 1978. They have two children, Mike and Sarah. Sarah lives in Alabama with her three children, and Mike lives in Connecticut with his two. The Hupfers started going to Faith Bible Church for the VBS program in the summer of 1991. In the fall of 1991, Gary came to know Jesus as his Personal Savior. Gary and Pat were baptized in January of 1992. Gary has served as deacon at FBC on and off for a total of 12 years and has been the AWANA Commander for over 20 years, circa 1995. Pat has been the AWANA secretary for the same period of time. Gary also run the sound booth and records the sermons. Gary is retired from Hamilton Sundstrand in Windsor Locks where he worked for 38 years. Some of Gary’s hobbies include motorcycle riding, playing golf, and woodworking.
Paul and Carol Parent married in 1978 and have a son, Paul James. They enjoy the quiet country living common in the northwest corner of Connecticut. The Parents have been attending Faith Bible Church since 2010 and have brought a spirit of ministering to the church and local community. Paul is regularly involved in preaching—including adult Sunday school, the men’s leadership group, evangelistic ministries, and occasionally from the pulpit. He has a genuine passion and gift for sharing God’s word with others. He finds great joy in witnessing the transforming power of God in the lives of those who see their need for forgiveness, and who then receive Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
Ryan Westervelt moved to Torrington in the fall of 1993 and started attending our church. He met Joanna, who grew up in the church, and they were married in 1997. Brett and Avery are their two children. They have served the Lord in a number of ministries over the years. They have been the Directors of the Teen Ministry, which meets on Friday night, for a number of years. Ryan has been active in the music ministry since coming to FBC, playing the piano and organ for services. Ryan and Joanna like the friendly and encouraging atmosphere of Faith Bible Church.
